Driving Instructions

From Interstate 81, North or South:

At second Salem exit, marked Roanoke College, Exit 140, exit onto Thompson Memorial Drive (VA 311), right turn toward Salem, and proceed approximately 1-1/2 miles to Roanoke College (Olin Hall) on the right. Parking is available either in the Lower Olin Lot on the right on Thompson Memorial Drive or turn right at the corner of the Lower Olin Lot on Peery Drive and proceed up the hill one block to the Upper Lot on left in front of Bowman (most convenient for Olin Theater and the Galleries).

From Roanoke on Electric Road (VA 419):

At Electric Road (VA 419) entering Salem from the south, turn left at East Main Street in Salem and continue approximately 3 miles to downtown Salem. At the intersection of East Main Street and Thompson Memorial Drive (VA 311) (and directional signs for I-81), turn right on Thompson Memorial Drive and proceed approximately two blocks to Roanoke College (Olin Hall). Parking is available in the Lower Olin Lot on the left on Thompson Memorial Drive or continue beyond this lot to Peery Drive on the left and proceed up the hill one block to the Upper Olin Lot (most convenient for Olin Theater and the Galleries).

From Roanoke entering Salem on East Main Street:

At the intersection of Electric Road (VA 419) Melrose Avenue becomes East Main Street. From this intersection continue approximately 3 miles on East Main Street to downtown Salem. At the intersection of East Main Street and Thompson memorial Drive (VA 311) (and directional signs for I-81), turn right on Thompson Memorial Drive and proceed approximately two blocks to Roanoke College (Olin Hall). Parking is available in the Lower Olin Lot on the left on Thompson Memorial Drive or continue beyond this lot to Peery Drive on the left and proceed up the hill one block to the Upper Olin Lot (most convenient for Olin Theater and the Galleries).

Accessibility

Olin Hall Galleries is wheelchair accessible via ramp. There are accessible toilets in the venue. Free bottled water is available. Wheelchair accessibility is only possible by entering the external glass doors facing the Olin Courtyard on 240 High Street. The roads immediately surrounding the gallery are cobblestone. The nearest accessible parking is across from the Cregger Center on High street. When accessing the gallery from Thompson Memorial Drive, this upper parking lot and Gallery will be on your left.
