A student may submit an application for the major at any time after completion of PSYC 101 or INQ 260-PY. Click here to complete the Program Declaration Form to declare a psychology major. All members of the psychology faculty serve as advisors to majors. The student may select any faculty member as her or his advisor, subject to limitations in the total number of advisees each faculty member may accept. Include any preference for a particular advisor on the program declaration form.
A student who plans to have a double major should work out a schedule with her or his psychology advisor soon after becoming a psychology major. Since courses in many departments are offered only once a year, it is necessary to plan one's total program well in advance.
