Where RC Name and Pronouns Will Appear

The College has over 70 systems that hold names. The technical implementation of RC Name is very complex and not all of our systems are capable of storing an RC Name. Careful consideration was given where to start that would have the most impact, while also ensuring the selected system was technically ready to receive the information.

It is important to understand that the legal name may still be required by law and sometimes for external agencies or processes. These include student financial aid, human resources documentation, campus safety matters, and official transcripts. Nevertheless, the College remains steadfast in honoring RC Name wherever possible and supporting community members as they navigate these other processes.   

Currently, the following systems will display an RC Name, if given. Other systems will be added in phases and this page will be updated as they come online.

The College remains steadfast in honoring one’s chosen pronoun wherever possible and supporting community members as they navigate these other processes.   

Implementation of a chosen pronoun is complex. Careful consideration was given of where to start that would have the most impact.

Currently, the College Directory will display a chosen pronoun, if recorded. In addition, chosen pronoun may appear in a variety of campus communications.  Other systems may be added in phases and this page will be updated as they come online.
