  • a juvenile detention facility
  • attending district court
  • an outdoor living history museum on family life in the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries
  • a residential drug treatment facility
  • examining the damage caused by coal mining and mountain top removal in West Virginia and meeting with environmental activists from the area
