The incoming class hails from 31 states and 13 countries.

Through the plan, Roanoke College is setting its sights on six key imperatives that are accompanied by clear, action-orientated recommendations for progress.

 In her new role, Dani Moore will support Roanoke students and develop programs to ensure their success.

Nominations for the award, which recognizes outstanding citizens of Salem, are due by Monday, Sept. 23.

Roanoke also is adding a military support and recruiting position to ensure veterans a successful transition and educational experience.  

Jay Ellison brings two decades of higher education experience. He will be responsible for continuing to shape a student-ready, student-first culture at Roanoke.  

Nate Stewart ‘03 was selected after a national search and will begin in August.  

Roanoke College and Hollins University are seeking nominations for deserving artists, arts and culture organizations, and supporters of the arts.

Dr. Kim Soo-oak traveled from Seoul, Korea, and Allen Kim traveled from New York City to walk the campus where their grandfather, Kim Kyusik, graduated in 1903. They were accompanied by the consul from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. 

The awarding of diplomas spanned 178 Bachelor of Arts degrees, 145 Bachelor of Science degrees and 73 Bachelor of Business Administration degrees. In a major milestone, it also included 10 Master of Business Administration degrees for the first graduating class of Roanoke’s 4+1 MBA program.
