Market on Melrose is the result of nine years of research and development led by Professor Liz Ackley and Roanoke College’s Center for Community Health Innovation.

A bench was placed outside the Student Affairs Office in memory of the retiree who influenced many students through her work at Roanoke College.  

This marks the first official visit by a sitting ambassador in more than 100 years, and it is especially significant due to Roanoke College’s unique connection with Korea. 

The award recognizes a Salem resident for significant contributions to the quality of life in Salem. 

This year's awards honored artist Whitney Brock and community leader Dr. Nathaniel L. Bishop.

The grant-funded residency brought three accomplished artisans from Wonju, Korea, to campus for two weeks.

Roanoke was listed in the 2025 edition of the Princeton Review’s “The Best 390 Colleges,” receiving special recognition for its athletic facilities, town/gown relations, psychology program and business/finance program. 

The funding will help the college build partnerships with STEM-H innovators and strengthen the skilled workforce pipeline.

Roanoke College is launching its membership in College Presidents for Civic Preparedness during its campus celebration of Constitution Week. 

Associate Professor Lisa Stoneman will serve as executive director for curricular innovation and digital learning under the Roanoke College-Roanoke Valley (RC-RV) program.
