COVID-19 Information
The updated CDC guidelines recommend that individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should isolate in their room until their symptoms improve and they’ve been fever-free for 24 hours without medication. Students who test positive for Covid using an at-home test should notify health services and upload a copy of their results to the portal. If you test positive either in the clinic or using an at-home test, notify your professors that you will be out of class until your symptoms improve.
While in isolation, you can pick up food to-go from Commons, Cavern, or Freshens. When you leave your room to pick up food, please wear a mask and return immediately to your room upon picking up your food. If you feel too ill to go to any of the on-campus dining options, you may get a meal ticket from Health Services so that either a friend, an RA, or a trusted person can pick up food on your behalf.
Once you end isolation you should continue wearing a mask for an additional 5 days.
Common symptoms include: fever and/or chills, tiredness/fatigue, muscle pain, cough, loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing, headache, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
Call 911 if you are experiencing severe symptoms, such as: pale, blue or gray skin/lips, rapid breathing, trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or difficulty waking up
