Roanoke College and Carilion Clinic established a partnership to advance educational opportunities and workforce development for Roanoke College students and Carilion employees. The partnership will mobilize public health resources to serve the populations most in need in Roanoke Valley. The Roanoke College-Carilion Clinic partnership will utilize the College’s health-related curricula, such as the Public Health Studies Program, the Business Program, research initiatives and Carilion’s expanding medical education collaboratives, to address community health, well-being and the region’s growing community of health care professionals. The partnership also builds a pipeline for non-clinical health care professionals through innovative internships and technical training that prepares students and graduates for careers. 

Roanoke College students are eligible for direct admission into Virginia Tech's master of engineering programs in either computer engineering or computer science and applications. That includes an option to earn your master's in just one year, instead of two, as part of a 4+1 dual enrollment track. This partnership accelerates your path into graduate school and into a career in the cutting-edge world of tech.

Roanoke College students who meet the requirements have guaranteed interviews at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), guaranteed admission to the physical therapy program at the University of Lynchburg, and guaranteed admission to the physical therapy and occupational therapy programs at Mary Baldwin University. 

Students can dive into two course catalogs for the price of one with our cross-registration agreement with Hollins University. The partnership enables students to take up to two courses per semester at the other institution. No heightened fees apply. That means students can draw on a wider array of classes and the knowledge of two sets of faculty for no additional cost. 

The Rapid Maroons program was designed for students at partner community colleges who are interested in continuing their education and earning a bachelor’s degree at Roanoke College. With access to joint advising and student activities, along with a streamlined application process, Rapid Maroons can save time and confidently take the next step in their journey toward a well-rounded and successful future. 

Roanoke College students can earn a master's degree in agricultural and applied economics from Virginia Tech in just one year through our accelerated 4+1 partnership. The advanced degree equips students with in-demand skills in data analytics, economic modeling, econometrics, forecasting, microeconomics and macroeconomics.  

Students nominated by Roanoke College enjoy guaranteed admission, with a scholarship package for early applicants, from William & Mary's master of accounting program and master of science in business analytics program. Both degree tracks are STEM-designated and committed to delivering a state-of-the-art education in data and analytics.

Economics graduates with a GPA of 3.25 or higher are guaranteed admission into West Virginia University's master of science in economics. The online program trains students in the high-level work of quantitative economics with the skills to analyze complex policy issues. It also offers a 4+1 track enabling eligible students to complete their advanced degree in one additional year instead of two.
