The Roanoke College Garden Club has a new garden location and big plans for the new year.

Terri Austin, Talia Logan, Dianne Lucado and Terri Saunders received the annual Service to All Roanoke Awards on Dec. 19.

On Nov. 17, Roanoke College celebrated its long history and its founder and first president, the Rev. David Bittle. Nov. 17 was Founders Day, which marked Bittle's 204^th birthday.

"Journey Stories" is produced by Museum on Main Street, a program by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service which partners with state humanities councils to bring historical exhibitions to small towns.  

"Around the World" is the theme of the ninth annual President's Ball on Saturday.
