The Aquatics Lifeguard is a valuable component within the aquatics program that is responsible for ensuring the safety of participants when using the pool.
Hours
Approximately 4-6 hours per week
Hours vary but typically include afternoons and evenings during the week
Responsibilities
Be on time and ready to work when scheduled and responsible as a key holder
Monitor the pool while on duty
Check-in participants as they enter the pool area
Ensure the safety of participants while in the pool area
Keep the pool deck neat and organized
Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of aquatics equipment and supplies
Notify the head lifeguard of any equipment or repair needs
Respond to emergency situations according to level of first responder training
Attend regular Lifeguard staff meetings and in-service trainings
Keep an accurate record of hours worked and submit timesheet when due
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing
